Pain Medicine Specialists - Tampa, FL

"I was referred to Dr, Ibanez at the pain intervention clinic of Moffitt Cancer Center by my surgeon at Moffitt. I have chronic pain that I live with all day every day since a 13 hour surgery at Moffitt over three years ago. I got my hopes up when both the scheduler and person who checked me in both gave her unsolicited rave reviews. I was interviewed by a technician, a nurse and then a resident and then finally Dr, Ibanez came into the exam room. I gave her my history telling her of everything I had done in an effort to mediate my pain. I had had four unsuccessful C2-C3 blocks over a period of two weeks at Florida Orthopaedic Institute located in the same city of Tampa. She said prior to proceeding, she wanted to see the report from the other facility, but assured me that she could glean that information very quickly. I was told I would be contacted when they got the information. Now it takes all of a couple of minutes to send that information via computer and again the two facilities are just miles apart. That is the last time I ever heard from them and that was three weeks ago today. I guess Dr. Ibanez is not suffering any pain and should consider another speciality in that she obviously has no understanding/empathy for a patient that shows up at pain intervention clinic for help!"

"extremely long wait times.. I should've read these reviews. I was referred to this pain center by my primary and this was a pretty bad experience. They ran 3 hours past my appointment time. I told them explicitly I had to be somewhere at a certain time, my appointment was for 1:30pm. At 2pm.. nothing, 2:30pm, nothing.. at 3pm I go up to complain and the girl at the front desk tells me it will be another hour! I don't understand how they can run a business like this. It feels like a cash grab. I've never signed so many papers for a doctors visit in my life, and almost all of them were forms to ensure they get paid. They asked me to come back in a week after an initial screening, then if I was still in pain they would schedule me for a steroid shot 2 days after that... so they want 3 appointments within 10 days?!?! How about just scheduling me 1 real visit instead of wasting my time. My very first visit I waited almost 1.5 hours in the waiting room.. 2nd visit after I told them I had to be somewhere, I waited 1.5 hours and after they told me it would be another hour I just left. I wasted half a day of PTO to be here. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. STOP BOOKING SO MANY PATIENTS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO SEE THEM IN A TIMELY MANNER!!"

"Dr Grisales has treated me for the last 16 years. He first started treating me for migraines. He offers a wide variety of treatments to make your life easier and enjoyable again. I am a huge believer in Radio Frequency Ablation that he performs for migraines! They were once debilitating, lasting 3-4 days every week every month. This procedure gave me my life again. You will never feel like a number at his office you will always feel like family and that you matter. "

"If I could give a half star for rating and office staff I would. For punctuality, he gets a zero. If you have any self-respect, and want to be treated and not just visit a pill mill - don't go here. Jasmine called us last night and told us we needed to be there at 9:30 for a 10 appt. We live in Brooksville. Asked if we would then be seen promptly at 10 to which she waivered and said there day is very full. The doctor's office is DISGUSTING! The chairs have probably been there since the place was opened. The walls are filthy - everything is dirty. We arrived at 9:30 and at 10:40 we went to Jasmine to see what was up. She offered to put us in a room to which my husband replied "so we can wait there another 30 to 45 minutes? The entire staff was very rude - actually to everyone. This is a pill mill where obviously people who don't want to work but want meds come to get their refills. SO MANY people were called in before us. We will NEVER go back there and I have nothing good to say about them. If you have insurance, a job but need pain management care, try to find a good doctor whose staff will be nice to you and who will mindful of your time. I wasted 5 hours of my life today (including travel time) that we will never get back. Don't go there!! "
