His education and training includes medical school at the University of Cape Town Faculty of Health Sciences and residency at Mayo Clinic. Areas of expertise for Dr. McLeod include supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) ablation, ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) insertion. He has received distinctions including AHA Council on Basic Cardiovascular Sciences New Investigator Award - American Heart Association; NIH Fellows Award for Research Excellence - National Institutes of Health; and American Heart Association Scientific Sessions Trainee Abstract Award - American Heart Association.
