"This doctor was recommended to me from another podiatrist within the Allegheny Health Network. Dr. Sferra recommended and performed surgery on my foot to relieve my pain from a bunion. Three months after my surgery during a post surgery office visit I asked Dr. Sferra about the swelling in my foot and not being able to bend my toes. He informed me that I have permanent pins and a plate in my foot. I then told him that we never discussed that I wood have permanent hardware in my foot. Dr. Sferra became agitated with my questioning him about my post surgery results and the permanent handicap condition concerning my foot. He quickly became impatient with me and was not concerned or interested in hearing about the pain and limitations I was experiencing post surgery. He exited the examine room and sent in his intern to explain to me that this was my final post surgery exam. I sat there in the examine room upset and confused wondering how this Doctor could be so uncaring, insensitive and very rude to me because I needed him to explain to me how bunion surgery resulted in me permanently having limitations on walking, standing,running, balancing and the list continues. I have to live with this foot pain and physical limitations for the rest of my life. I have to live with one foot being larger than the other due to bunion surgery resulting in surgery on three toes which are now permanently straight. If I had know this was going to be my ending results, I would had endured the bunion pain like so many others. Lies and Deception "
