"I've been seen by many top rated GI's in Louisville Ky since 2009 and none ever took the time to explain my issue or refer me a Colorectal Specialist. Instead told me to seek Psychological treatment, it was horrifying. I would give up for a while then seek help again to be told the same thing...Gave it all to God because truly I didn't want to live like this any longer. Come to find out they actually knew my issue and let me suffer for many years and then I became homebound in 2011. A misdiagnosis by another Dr in Louisville for something unrelated to my current issue sent me on another journey to seek help elsewhere and I found the best team of Specialist at U of K for the misdiagnosis which then sent me to Dr Bhakta for my original issue. Dr Bhakta is a very caring, empathic and detailed specialist. Upon first exam he knew the issue and sent me for additional test. Results came back and immediately he teamed with another Specialist in Urogynecology, referred me and he did his exam and they came up with the plan of care and both doctors did their surgeries together. I'm just a week out of surgeries and I'm very hopeful. I trust God's plan and the care of the team he placed me with. I honestly had no reason to feel hopeful prior to Dr Bhakta and Dr Heredia. If you are without hope, give them a chance. I just don't feel I'll be disappointed at the end of my recovery, I honestly feel they may have given me my life back. Can't say enough about the care given, excellent and exceptional 👏 "
