"Surgery-Panniculectomy This is the first time I have ever written a review in my life. So to start this off I saw Dr. Yan on October 31st of 2018 for my first consult for skin removal. I had the bariatric sleeve done November 2017 and lost 100 pounds and so after hating my body all my life I decided after hitting my goal weight that I would at least get the hanging skin removed. I don’t want to be perfect just want to be happy as I’m only 22 years old. During the first visit I was already uncomfortable with the doctor, but Dr Yan is the only doctor for many miles that will do the panni and was willing to get it medically necessary with my insurance do to many reasons like rashes and skin infections. Also, he came highly recommended and had a 5-star rating. So, I was working on getting over how I felt and just doing what needed to be done in order to be happier in my own skin. During this visit we talked about my history of surgery’s that I have had including that I had an LP shunt also talked about my age and how in the future that I want kids after college and of course after I get my life set up (never said today). Also talked about where they would cut, about the procedure and drains and just the whole prosses as any normal doctor’s office would. In the end of January 2019, I called the office saying I’d like to schedule the surgery. They told me id need to make an office visit before I could have surgery which was perfectly fine with me. I set my appointment for February 8th?near the end of the day that way I would not miss much of work. After the office visit, everything was fine, and we were on the same page and they said they were going to submit everything to the insurance that day that way I could have my surgery on March 11th like we discussed on the phone when making the office visit on the 8th and during my appointment. Then to my surprise, I got a phone call on February 11th by the office manager telling me that if I would have this surgery, I would not have children after and if I did that the baby and I could have many complications. She said” It’s just common sense, don’t have to be a doctor to understand that” She told me I really needed to talk over with my husband to see what I really really wanted. I told her to submit it to the insurance any ways that way I could go either route.She said" she will even though she honestly does not believe that it will get approved” After that conversation I called my obgyn they said with having a baby after that surgery id have ZERO abnormal issues other than if I had to have a c-section id have an ugly scar (did not care at all about that, and Yan knew that.) I also called another obgyn to get a second opinion along with that I talked to my patient avocet both said same thing. On February 18th I called my insurance company to see if there was an update on my claim that was put in on the 11th hoping for answers and they then told me nothing was even submitted to them. I called Dr Yan’s office to ask them why I was not submitted, and they said we weren’t sure you wanted us too and we just want to make sure you understand the major complications. I said I know the complications that you went over a then told them what my obgyn told me then I said id like to have everything submitted to the insurance. My obgyn told me that they would write a letter or give Dr. Yan a call giving him the okay from them. Dr Yan’s office manager also told me that I needed to get a letter/ see my neurosurgeon about my shunt. I called my Neurosurgeon and they told me I needed to get a referral. I then called Dr. Yan and asked if I could get a referral to get my letter. They said they don’t normally Dr referrals, but she would ask Dr. Yan the next day on 2/21/19 when he would be in office. I said “That will work because I have no other way because my family doctor retired and I was moving this summer and didn’t want to find a new doctors just for something so minor” My insurance received the claim on February 20th?at 10 am by 12:30 or so my insurance approved the surgery and told me that I was good to go just had to pick a day by August 2019. Then when the office manager talked to Dr. Yan on February 20th,The Dr then decided that I had to many problems and that he no longer wanted to be responsible for me and the surgery.He waisted so much of my time and had my hope's high all for nothing. Just awful I'd never recommend seeing him."

"Dr. Joshua T. Green, his office, and my visit to 6310 Health Park Way Lakewood Ranch, FL, an in network provider for my "Fortune 500" health insurance company, was an unfortunate disappointment. I have used an HSA through the same network for over 14 years. I am instructed to have in network providers bill for service first to determine the proper amount owed. I have never been refused in 14 years, from any provider. The issue is an overpayment or other withdrawal that is not applied to medical service can be penalized by the IRS. I have had other providers overcharge using an incorrect diagnosis code, etc. but it was caught because they listened and billed first. I am still waiting for this transaction to post to make sure it was billed correctly. The office refused to bill first and required payment prior to service or the appointment would have been cancelled. Unacceptable but I felt I had no choice. I had waited weeks for the appointment. In hindsight I should have canceled. Dr. Green's approach was short, aggressive, impatient and he seemed extremely irritated. I have no way to know if it was related to the conflict with the office or solely a personality issue but his bedside manner, on this day, needed work. This was a painful experience overall and if I need a urologist in the future I will try to avoid Dr. Joshua T. Green. From the attitude experienced, feel he may want to avoid me as well. "

"Appointment was cancelled due to their automated check in system malfunctioning. I called them the day before to tell them it wasn't working correctly and asked them SPECIFICALLY NOT to cancel the appointment. They sent me a check in link today, still didn't worked, called them again and was told I would be given a call back. Time came and went for appointment and no call so I called them again and was told my appointment was cancelled due to login in difficulty. So I was punished because their system didn't work. I was told and urgent not was attached to my call to get someone from the office to call be back. So far no call. By the way, their office NEVER takes calls. It's all handled through and answering service which has no power to actually do anything but pass on messages "
