"I was in regular care with Dr. Ashby for well over a year. Her breadth and depth of expertise is impressive, and she incorporated many helpful blood tests that I haven't had any other doctor suggest. Unfortunately, I felt the need to terminate working with her when I could no longer handle dealing with her hostile, bitter, aggressive and unprofessional behavior. I had her curse at me ("I don't know what the f#%& you want from me!") for having to rewrite a prescription that she made me drive back to her office to pick up after losing the original paper, because she refuses to use any electronic systems and believes that CVS "doesn't check their faxes". When completing my physical, she told me she would be doing a vaginal check, which I agreed to, and she performed. But then she performed a very unexpected exam by shoving her finger into another orifice with NO warning to "check my colon for polyps" and acted surprised that my previous doctors hadn't done the same as part of a physical when I commented on it. Every visit included complaints about insurance, other patients, her office landlord or something else. I had read negative reviews about her before I started seeing her, but thought "How bad could she be?" I stayed with her as long as I did because she really does have incredible medical knowledge and decades of experience, but her attitude makes it not worth staying with her. I hate to sound ageist, but she should not be practicing anymore due obvious dislike of the modern medical system."
