Dr Xavier Preud'homme, a board-certified psychiatrist and internist, trained in Brussels, Belgium, before moving to the US in 2001. After re-training at Duke University, he joined their faculty until 2018, focusing on internal medicine and psychiatry in the inpatient setting. In 2019, he joined Carilion Clinic, providing psychiatric consultation in medical settings. Dr Preud'homme has published extensively on various topics, including slow wave EEG activity, insomnia, addiction medicine, and delirium. He is passionate about bedside teaching and collaborating with learners on research.
