I have hypothyroidism diagnosed by my GYN. The Levothyroxine was not helping si I went thru the hurry and wait game for a referral. Finally I was referred to Dr Stadiem in which I had never heard of but I was over the moon excited. I got an appointment which was a month out. As I was in the room waiting I was so excited to get help I could barely contain myself. Finally the door opens and the Dr walks in, he looks at me and says "so your'e here for hypothyroidism" I said yes Sir. He said " I am not sure why they scheduled you with me because I only work with Diabetes patients"  My heart sank to the pit of my stomach. I said " Sir I need help or guidance so who should I see?" He said " I can run a blood panel on you but other than that its just wasting your time and mine". I left in tears! I have been calling that office for months trying to get in to see any of the other Endo's but apparently they have a very long process of "switching Doctors".  Its coming up on a year and I have yet to hear back from the office manager.
