"What a detestable and abhorrent doctor. I went in to the ER as per my OB doctor due to concerns over a potential infection for a surgery that I recently had. When I arrived, Dr. Fraga seemed all too unconcerned about my concerns for infection and focused SOLEY on the fact that I had been receiving pain medications. Then came by at time of discharge, an announced in front of everyone how many pills that I had been prescribed in a month, all while we’re in a medical tent; so people and patients around me can hear this conversation. She said “it’s going to be really hard for you to get opioids in the future”, I went through your script history. Mind you, pain was 100% NOT why I proceeded to my local ED. Also, there was a secure group chat about me (I know how EPIC works and am very familiar with secure chat), where I could hear them speaking poorly about me. I.E., who I was going to get pawned off on to. And talking about my condition in an unprofessional manner. Imagine, if that was YOU, Dr. Fraga, and YOU were treated like that. For the sake of being an empathic human, I sincerely hope no one treats you the way you treated me. I have completely lost trust in emergency rooms and doctors. Practice some empathy. It’s good for the soul. Happy patients return to see doctors for preventive care. Patients who have been made fun of, or their symptoms disregarded, do not come back to see healthcare professionals. Also, if doctors prescribe opiates to people in pain- acute or chronic; why is it the PATIENT who gets treated like trash for taking the medications? That seems so unfair. Absolutely disgusting behavior from a “doctor”. Do better. "
