I have been a patient at Superior Medical with Dr. Girgis for 8 years.  I even moved to the West coast of Florida but still visit Dr. Girgis every 6 months.  Although it is a busy office and on occasion you may find yourself waiting 30-40 minutes past your appt time, it is usually because Dr. Girgis and his staff are very thorough and listen to all of your concerns.   I feel I can discuss any issue with Dr. Girgis and he has an answer or solution or treatment.   I am a very healthy and don't have any medical issues, but I feel that is in part to my HRT and Supplement recommendations from Dr. Girgis.  I am thankful I have him as my primary care provider.   I also find his staff to be very helpful and pleasant every time I am there.   Even when I call with a question, refill request, or appt question, they always get back to me the same day and they are very accommodating.

This is a very busy practice, Dr. Girgis spent over an hour with me as a new patient. I have never experienced such an in depth initial patient visit. He went through my entire medical history and medications with his Nurse Practitioner sitting there also. They then adjusted my meds and drew up my bloodwork with a 3 week return appointment. I've been going there for several years now and couldn't be happier. They draw your blood right there in the office for lab work. No need to go anywhere else. He is not a guy who's going to be warm and fuzzy. He's to the point, direct and honest. That's what I look for in a Doctor. You want warm and fuzzy, get a puppy.  At times, they do get backed up and there's a wait, but overall A+. My cardiologist reviewed everything and agreed with Dr. Girgis's treatment plan, and the med changes, and the lab work shows. I haven't felt this good in 20+ years...

I made an appointment with this doctor on the recommendation of my cardiologist.  When asked what my insurance was I said Aetna and that they would take my information at the time of visit.  When I arrived at the appointment with my card, they said that they would not take my insurance that was Medicare, even as an out of network patient.  Since I had an emergency and had to see a doctor, I said I would pay out of pocket.  They told me that even so, they would not accept me as a patient. Is this ethical or even legal?
