Dr. Lakatua is a very good man, which makes him a great Dr. With family and ethical values, I feel he respects as a person as well as a patient, and is why, for my kidney transplant health care, is why I have remained in Missoula. That is important to me, I don't want care from someone who does not respect me, for my strengths and weaknesses as a patient that has had A LOT of sickness in my life and doesn't respect my wishes. Dr Lakatua remembers my hardships and respects them. I hope to remain in his care for many more years to come

Dr. Lakatua is exceptional for knowledge and understanding of nephrology. He cares about his patients and tailors his treatment to each patient. I have seen many doctors in my 81+ years for a variety of serious issues. I've seen him for over 20 years. He combines many important qualities that are a rare find. He is without a doubt the best specialist and all round doctor in all my years of medical care. He has a huge bank of knowledge, caring, consistency and even adds a sense of humor. Outstanding!
