Dr. Howard Justin Harlow, DDS

I made an appointment for a routine teeth cleaning with Dr. Harlow because I saw he was somewhat close and had two 5-star reviews on DocSpot. I made an appointment for 7am being told I would be done by 8am so I wouldn't need to shift around meetings at work  - I ended up not being brought back to even start the appointment until after 8am! I was supposed to be the first patient, so I don't understand how this is possible.

Secondly, and more importantly, before Dr. Harlow knew I had just a few months prior been seen by a dentist before moving across the country, he informed me I had 6 different locations needing fillings. My previous dentist had mentioned that one area may need a filling "soon" because of staining that was starting to look like decay, but definitely not 6! I am writing this review 7 months later because I wanted a third opinion before trashing Dr. Harlow's "opinion" - I have since had a third appointment with another random dentist in the area, and after a cleaning, imaging, and a full consultation he didn't support ANY of Dr. Harlow's treatment opinions. He even said my mouth is healthy, and any dentist claiming I needed that many fillings is overtreating and drill-happy.

Overall, he has great bedside manor. And he should, because he is nothing but a used-car salesman pushing unnecessary dental work instead of beat up cars. Steer clear.

Punctual, friendly, thorough and attentive. Made sure I was comfortable the whole time.
