"After seeing Sheryl for narcissistic abuse and trauma, she told me "It's not that bad. I see children who have been sexually abused and your abuse is nothing compared to what I hear on a weekly basis." She continued to give me specific examples of their abuse and compared it to mine, minimizing the horror of severe lifelong emotional and mental abuse I had endured. I confided in her with the most horrific details of my life, seeking Christian counseling, only to be rejected and minimized in the worst way. Fast forward, and I am now a fully healed and redeemed child of God. Thank God He showed me the truth before she caused any more damage. It is evident that she's burned out and needs counseling herself. Unless you're a child experiencing sexual abuse, your abuse won't be good enough."
