Cardiologists - Bellevue, WA

"Extremely rude receptionist, hung up on me. I was trying to make an appointment, because I saw Dr's name on the list of physicians in my insurance network: listed as 'Internal Medicine' and 'New Patient welcome.' I waited on the phone line for a very long time, and when the receptionist hung up on me saying 'she is not an internist!'"

"Regressive physician still dismissing women's complaints as hysteria. This practitioner is a danger to patients and should be sanctioned and avoided. I have a chronic illness which is treated by a cardiologist. Dr. Tuohy filled in for my regular cardiologist while she was out of office. He did not listen to anything I said, told me my symptoms were not related to my condition (even though my symptoms are textbook) and that I would simply "grow out of" the CHRONIC condition. He was dismissive, discriminatory against me, word for word writing in my patient records, "I suspect a psychiatric component to her symptoms given her history of psychiatric disease” although I have no psychiatric history, and my symptoms were purely physical. This is a prime example of a typical male doctor who makes up their mind about a female patient before even walking in the room. He seems very poorly trained in the medical field for which he specializes in. He has a complete lack of empathy, understanding, knowledge about chronic conditions, and has zero desire to actually treat his patients."
