Ophthalmologists - Midlothian, VA

"Dr Bana is a charming guy accustomed to getting by with his service. I had cataract removal on both eyes. The right eye was first and went well, in 45 minutes. On followup I didn't feel my right eye vision was as good as it should be. This seemed to irritate him but a reasonable comment. My left eye surgery was a totally different experience. I arrived at 8:10 for my 8:15 appt. The desk did not have my procedure scheduled properly because Dr Bana did not inform them of a change that was made, or the staff failed to enter the changes. Three 'nurses' scuttled quite a while over this getting fixed in the computer system. I was moved from room to room before Dr Bana came in one and quickly & repeatedly zapped my right eye with a laser? 🤷‍♀️ This seems to have blurred my vision more. I was moved to another room to wait. It's been 2hrs by now. I didn't want the anesthesia port but was told it was MANDATORY and the Dr said 15 minute the anesthesia was included in the fee. Eventually I was moved to surgery prep. They hide the clocks but I went in to surgery around 11:15, a 3 hr delay. I had a, no fee, far sighted lense inserted. Feels like it's not centered. Rolled out and ushered out the back door immediately after. My last follow up today, HE deemed my vision sufficient, my jittering left eye is neurological, and my near vision, that I paid $4200 extra out of pocket for a special lens to correct near and far vision and doesn't work, is from Lasik I had 24yrs ago and that nothing he could do would make me happy. He blamed his college and his staff for HIS scheduling delays. SERIOUSLY?!?!? I quickly departed saying I CAN'T WAIT TO WRITE A REVIEW! He has since sent me a registered letter dropping me as his patient. I DO NOT CONSIDER HIM MY OPHTHALMOLOGIST! DON'T GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU AND YOUR DRIVER WILL WAIT FOR HOURS BEFORE YOU'RE SEEN."
