Optometrists - Hudson Oaks, TX

"Simply horrible staff refused to do even a computer check to verify coverage, completely uncooperative. "

"I went in to get a simple eyeglass prescription and was given a disclaimer before I was seen. I was told if I had conjunctivitis that I would be charged $129. Well, somehow I was diagnosed me with "allergic conjunctivitis" and the only way to get out the door was to pay $129. When I said to her repetitively that my eyes do not itch and are not producing any fluid, I was told "They have bumps on them." I was just shocked. No other way of saying it. I was just shocked. Further than that, I was given an eyeglass prescription that does not work, and was very different from the one I had done 7 months ealier. I followed up the next day going to another optometrist that contradicted the diagnosis of "allergic conjunctivitis." "

"She was professional and attentive, I had no problem or regrets. She was operating on shoe string trying to get her practice going but that's understandable. "

"Dr Kathleen Almenario I was not told of the procedure that my insurance would not cover. The girl informed me that's the doctor's standard and if this is fact then it should have been disclosed at the time of booking. The girl then told me the doctor told her to stop telling people. That tells me the doctor knows this is unethical and chooses to steal from her patients. What would happen if a person didn't have the money and you bate and switch them into a $30 fee they had no idea about. I was not told until checkout. It should have been disclosed at booking but if not then when she told me to go to the machine hey by the way this will be an extra fee are you ok with that. But no instead she chose dishonesty. I am disgusted that people would work this way"
