Primary Care Doctors - Holbrook, NY

"went there last week for first visit as I had gotten new insurance and this office was in network and convenient to my home and office. I was looking for a new primary care physician and things SEEMED to be going ok. First visit I waited about 15 minutes after my appointment time - no biggie, I understand these offices get busy. The assistant who took my vitals and got some info was very friendly and attentive to what I was saying and the NP I saw was very knowledgeable (only reason they got more than 1 star in staff and bedside manner). I was referred for a follow up this week and when I showed up at 1pm for my 1pm apt, I stood at the window for 7 minutes before the girl running around the back barking orders looked at me and said "yes?" and I informed her I had a 1pm apt at which time I was advised to sign in and sit down. 15 minutes later I am called up to take my payment. Then I sat....and sat...and sat...after about 20 more minutes of listening to the guy next to me talk to himself they took back the trashy woman who began complaining about having to wait so long (without an appointment at that). at 1:45 I hear them call *my name* so I got up to go back (I was about to leave) and was advised they were calling the other person with my name who had only gotten there about 10 minutes prior. This is where I blew my lid, demanded a refund of my copay, called my insurance to make sure they didn't try to bill and came here to write this review - oh, and by the way, they told me after I complained and asked for my money back they I could be seen soon....GTFOH. EVERYTHING in their negative reviews about having no regard for your time is true. I understand being 15 mins or so behind but waiting 45 minutes when I have an appointment in the middle of a work day is unacceptable, and so is their trick of taking your payment shortly after getting there so you are less inclined to leave. I wonder how they would feel if they received a bill for my time that they wasted?"
