" Dr Patel did my total hip replacement after having a broken hip from a car accident 40 years ago. It was a difficult surgery because there were still screws in my hip. I'm glad he used the robotic unit to assist in the surgery. Prior to surgery, my wife asked a ton of questions and he patiently answered all of them. He was very responsive to all the questions we had even after getting a second opinion from another highly recommended surgeon. I trust him and would recommend him to family and friends. "

He is the type of doctor that I will always go back to if future issues come up. I ended up choosing him as my primary orthopedic doctor to perform a meniscectomy on my knee due to my first appointment with him. The person answering the phone apparently did not know that he picked up the phone, and I could hear him going on-and-on about his sports betting, then they hung up on me when they realized I was on the phone. I am sure Summit Health and Dr. Black appreciates him using his time wisely. I tried calling back, and was placed on hold for some time. I decided to move on to the next provider on my list. "
