"I saw Kristen Leman for nearly two years. During that time her and I did some great work. But, things got rough at the end and everything boiled down to one sentence, one lie that she spoke. I feel that office politics and fellow therapists attempting to protect each other got in the way of focusing on the client’s needs, which should be first and foremost. In fact, I believe that my vulnerabilities were intentionally exploited by Kristen, and her associates Betty Garner, and possibly Amy Hansen on multiple occasions to protect future repercussions from their poor decision making or to protect themselves from pointed inquiries from their superiors or fellow colleagues. Vulnerability and trust are key elements in a therapeutic relationship and should never be intentionally exploited in a negative or selfish way by the therapist. Kristen certainly lost me as a client, and after leaving her, I am still trying to get back on track with other therapists. My anxiety, depression, fear of vulnerability and lack of confidence have certainly increased. I am in a worst place now than when I initially started some five years ago, and I credit most of that to that one sentence spoken by Kristen at our last session. The rupture that was caused by Kristen has damaged me to the point that it may preclude me from ever fully trusting and effectively working with a therapist ever again."
