"FRAUD ALERT Dr. Catherine Bukovitz is in network with BCBS but never filed a claim for me during the 7 1/2 months that I saw her for. She kept saying that when she gets paid she will give me a check. When I finally checked my account, she was charging my debit card $100 for each virtual session. I have a $0 copay for virtual visits. I filed a complaint with New Directions, the behavioral health portion of BCBS who kept telling me, I don't know why she isn't filing for you and I said because she has my money. Maybe she wasn't taking the required notes to be submitted for payment. After almost a year, New Directions sent me a check to cover what she owed me. In the memo line they wrote 'member refund'. I wonder how often she does this and doesn't get thrown off the insurance panel or have her license revoked. Providers sign a contract with BCBS or any insurance panel stating they will file and accept the rate that BCBS pays. DO NOT give her your credit card upfront. If this happened to you, fight it with your insurance company. I am now filing a complaint with the licensing board. She should not be in practice. She violated my trust and that is the worst feeling when I thought I had a connection to her talking about very private and delicate matters. She also refused to give me the initial paperwork I filled out and any notes regarding my care which she is required by law to provide me."
