"I've been attending Dr. Crovatto's office for about 3 years now. I don't plan on leaving.. His office emphasizes quality care; from the beautiful, well-decorated and clean waiting room to the state of the art equipment and cleanliness in the office. I am impressed. "

"We were referred to the office for a dental exam for implants. This is a contracted dental provider with Aetna. This office has found a way around collecting their lower contracted dental PPO fees. Guess what, they file using an out of network medical code so they can collect $170.00 instead $41.00. Nice little scam, get you in for a dental problem as a contracted in network PPO provider and then send in a Medical code (OUT of network). I wonder if the dentist knows what the office staff is doing."

"Well, I knew things wouldn't be perfect when the staff called me to tell me I was late for an 8:50 appointment - which had been scheduled with me over the phone for 9:30. They said they did also have room at 9:30 (ah, good - the actual appointed time) so I arrived - and the front desk person had no mask on. At a dental office! There is currently A LOT of COVID-19 in Jacksonville. I asked her to mask up, and the second woman there (dental assistant, I think?) - who was masked, also at the front desk - said "Well, she's just helping me". (??? Like that makes a difference?) Yikes, no clue about infection control procedures. When I insisted, she put a mask on (not happy about it). A few minutes later, she took me back for Xrays, & as soon as she walked away from me, pulled the mask down. I complained again, and then Dr. Henry came out - and rather than admonishing his staff about a basic infection control practice, gestured towards me & said "I don't need this on a Monday morning" (BTW it's Tuesday, doc). Good enough, I said "Bye!" & left. Skip this place - clueless and dirty practices."

" I chose Drs. Angela and Agerico M. Sayoc's office for my primary dental provider today. My insurance rep called their office to authorize me as their new patient, but they were closed for lunch. Therefore the insurance rep said that the ofc would receive authorization and I could call when they reopen to make an appointment. When I called, I had the most HORRIBLE DISCRIMINTIVE experience ever. The staff lady said they were not taking any DMO patients. Understood. So I explained I would still like to schedule an appointment for my cosmetic oral concerns (a chipped tooth, so porcelain vaneers) and I would be paying out of pocket. She said "well you already told me you have DMO insurance so I can't make an appointment for you." I asked her why if I'm paying out of pocket for services my insurance won't cover anyway. She said "well we're already booked for today." I asked for future appointment, she said you will need an evaluation and an exam. Okay, so can you make a future appointment for that. She says I already told you we don't take your insurance. I told her again, I will be paying out of pocket. She said it will cost you $350. I said that's fine. She asked "you're going to pay?" YES! I said. She said "the doctor may not even recommend veneers for you ma'am." I asked: isn't that what the evaluation appointment is for? The lady still refused to make the appointment. She said she will ask the doctor and will call me back. She did take my name and number, but I haven't received a call. THEN, I called their second office, and explained the entire situation. The lady says, "that was me you spoke with ma'am and I already told you what it is." I guess because I chose DMO insurance, they feel I must be unable to pay anything out of pocket. WOW!"
