"I RECEIVED A BROW LIFT FROM DR. JEAN PAUL AZZI BACK IN DEC 2022. I REALIZED THERE WAS ABSOLUTE NO IMPROVEMENT TO MY BROWS, AS IF NO PROCEDURE WAS DONE, THERE WAS NO DIFFERENCE. IN ADDITION TO THAT I WAS ALLERGIC TO THE SUTURES, IT CREATED BUBBLES IN MY SKIN AND NOW IM PERMANENTLY DISFIGURED WITH SCARS. I CAN NO LONGER PUT MY HAIR IN A PONY TAIL WITHOUT PEOPLE QUESTIONING WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. THE SCARS ARE ZIG ZAGGED AND POORLY CUT, AND WAS TOLD TO JUST WAIT. IT IS QUITE OBVIOUS THAT MY BROWS WILL NOT MAGICALLY LIFT OVER TIME. IN FACT, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DROP. I HAVE BEEN REACHING OUT SINCE DECEMBER, AND IT IS NOW APRIL. I HAVE TALKED TO KATHERINE GREENE MULTIPLE TIMES, WHERE SHE STATES, I CAN COME IN FOR ANOTHER BROW LIFT. IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO WHY I WOULD DO THE PROCEDURE AGAIN IF I WAS ALLERGIC AND IF IT DID NOT WORK. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERN AND NOW AT THIS POINT SHE IS IGNORING ME. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO NEGLECTED AFTER A PROCEDURE ESPECIALLY WHEN I WAS ALLERGIC TO THE SUTURES THAT THIS DR APPLIED (IN WHICH HE ADMITTED AFTER LOOKING AT MY PHOTOS THAT I HAD A REACTION). I HAVE TRIED TIME AND TIME TO BE COURTEOUS, AND PATIENT, BUT AT THIS POINT I WILL CONTINUE TO WRITE REVIEWS ON EVERY OUTLET TO INFORM OTHERS OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU. THE PATIENT CARE IS QUITE DISGUSTING AT THIS POINT AND I WILL TAKE MY NEXT STEPS."

What is Facial Plastic Surgery?

Cosmetic surgery, intended to enhance the appearance. These procedures are usually considered elective, although they can be psychologically very important to patients. Cosmetic procedures seek to increase physical beauty, and can include facelifts, liposuction, and nose jobs.
Reconstructive surgery, to correct the appearance. Often these procedures are considered medically necessary and treat patients who are experiencing negative effects due to an aspect of their appearance. Procedures that can be considered reconstructive may include the removal of birthmarks and scars, repairs after serious accidents, and the correction of problems such as cleft palate.
Medical treatments that do not involve surgery. This category of procedures includes Botox, wrinkle treatments, injectable fillers, or medical skin products.

Facial plastic surgeons may have trained as plastic surgeons first, but most physicians who specialize in facial plastic surgery actually begin as otolaryngologists, or ear, nose, and throat doctors. A large part of the training that all otolaryngologists receive in medical school involves surgery on the face, and facial plastic surgery is considered the largest subspecialty of otolaryngology.
