"Have been seeing Dr Acloque for the past year for normal annual physicals and for pre-surgery clearance on 3 occasions. He is an excellent communicator, approaches your health from a practical, scientifically grounded, and holistic way. He appears to be well read and keep up with the latest medical journals, and he does not appear to be under the influence of pharmaceutical company sales reps who like doctors to push certain medications (bad experience with previous Dr). Over our many interactions, he has earned my trust regarding oversight of and guidance in achieving better health. The staff is very professional while still being personable and friendly, too. Dr Acloque was raised in the area and it’s fortunate that he chose to stay here and practice medicine."

"Dr. Gilberto De Miranda is the worst doctor I have ever met in my life. He is very negligent, inefficient, unprofessional, and very rude. He does not care about the well-being of his patients, putting their health at risk. I took my husband to Cano (6517 Taft St. Hollywood, FL ) for a consultation because of intense pain on his right knee. Obviously, he had to be referred to an Orthopedist. I explained to the doctor that previously my husband had the same problem with his left knee and the previous doctor also from Cano, Dr. Sandoval, very effectively quickly referred him to the orthopedist. So, my husband was able to recover with a treatment that only orthopedists give. Dr. De Miranda did not want to send him to the orthopedist, saying that he himself wanted to take some x-rays, maybe an MRI, and if he couldn't help him feel better, then maybe he would be sent to the orthopedist. He didn’t take my husband's health seriously because he is only a general doctor, not an orthopedic specialist. Nor did he care that my husband lost days of work going to all the exams that he had ordered while delaying a good treatment from a specialist for the recovery of my husband's knee, also exposing his knee to worsen due to not having adequate treatment from a specialist. All these exams would be done in the same Cano offices. It seems that this doctor cares more about filling Cano's pockets than the patient's recovery. I even explained to this doctor that if my husband was sent to the orthopedist at once, the orthopedist would take the x-rays in his own office on the same day of the appointment. But Dr. De Miranda was not interested and very rudely told me to keep quiet as if to say that I should not get involved in my husband health. In the end, as if to justify all the time he made us waste in his consultation and protect himself from his negligent attitude, he sent a prescription to the pharmacy for some pills with a lot of side effects to endure the pain without even realizing that my husband has cysts in his liver and he cannot take medications as strong as the pills he prescribed for many days because it could damage his liver more, but we imagine this doctor didn’t take it in consideration. The next day (was a Friday) I called the corporate part of Cano to make my complaint about the terrible care of this doctor. I explained the situation to them, and they told me that they were going to give me a referral to the orthopedist so that my husband could see the specialist as soon as possible and for me to make an appointment with an orthopedist. I got an appointment with an orthopedist for my husband on Monday. At the end, this Dr. Gilberto De Miranda interfered in the process of this referral that they were going to give me for my husband and as retaliation and revenge for what I had complained about him, he said that he would not sign any referral for my husband until he goes to make the x-rays in Cano that he had ordered (unnecessary since the specialist was going to take them in his office). In this way, my husband would miss his appointment with the specialist, continuing on having the intense knee pain. I also spoke with the manager of Taft's office, a woman named Ingrid, and all she did was justify and defend the bad and negligent medical practices of this doctor instead of resolving the problem. She said that she had spoken with the chief medical officer of that office and that he said that for Medicare HMO patients, this is what the procedures are like, therefore claiming that what Dr. De Miranda was doing was fine. As you can see, this is a total discrimination that Cano makes with Medicare HMO patients, as if their lives do not matter at all or that their health conditions do not have to be adequately cared for by having a Medicare HMO. I also later called Humana, which is my husband's Insurance, and they told me that Cano’s actions were unacceptable, that neither Insurance nor Medicare don’t require this such unprofessional medical practices."
