Hepatologists - Chandler, AZ

"I felt Dr.Reynolds rushed me while at my bedside during my recent hospitalization where I was newly diagnosed with liver failure and cancer. He assured me and my daughter that he would facilitate care with a Hepatologist closer to my home, this is documented in my discharge paperwork. 13 days and 5 phone calls later (with detailed messages for Dr. Reynolds to call my daughter), still no referral or phone call made by Dr. Reynolds. If this doctor cannot afford me the courtesy of a simple phone call, I certainly would not afford him participation in treating something as complex as my liver cancer and/or failure. Should a patient who is ill make to make this many attempts or wait this long for a doctor to simply return a phone call or make a referral? Blame it on his office staff, blame it on the work flow process, blame it on the doctor. I am not here to place blame, but I know the blame does not belong to me as the patient or my daughter."
