"I had a 1:30pm new patient appointment today. When I arrived, I was yelled at by staff for having the nerve to walk into the office. Apparently their rule is to stay in your car and call when you arrive for your appointment. Good to know...maybe they could have told me that when we were talking on the phone about my new patient appointment. It was raining...the receptionist brought the paperwork out to my car, but couldn't give it to me to fill out because 'it was wet' (it was raining, why be surprised the paperwork got wet?). After my car seat, purse and sweater all got soaked, the receptionist finally said 'ok you can come in and fill the paperwork out inside'. Like it was a huge imposition! After coming inside and filling out the paperwork, a nurse came in at 2:15pm to take my temp, oxygen level, and blood pressure. I asked when the doctor would be coming since the appointment was at 1:30? The answer was...well these first appointments take time since we have to type in your paperwork after you fill it out. So, from 1:15 when I arrived to 2:15 we managed to fill out paper work and type it into the system. I excused myself and wished them a good day. Newsflash: MY TIME IS IMPORTANT. I do not go to the doctor expecting to spend HOURS. I respected the doctor's time by arriving early, they should respect my time. They should communicate any COVID requirements BEFORE a patient arrives. Not going to use this doctor."
