Dr. Lawson Alexander Lawson Smith, MS, MD

William Alexander Lawson Smith, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine. Dr Smith received his Master of Science in Epidemiology from Tulane University, where he contributed to large-scale research on nutritional epidemiology and mental health. He earned his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He completed his residency at the Shenandoah Valley Family Medicine Residency Program in Front Royal, VA, part of Virginia Commonwealth University, where he trained broadly in outpatient medicine, procedures, and point-of-care ultrasound. Before becoming a physician, Dr Smith served as an EMT - an experience that taught him how much patients need to feel seen, heard, and respected.
