I thought I had found a new dentist. But I walked out of the office mid appointment today after one of their DENTISTS (Schembari) was having an audible conversation complaining about Disney and trans characters, then moved on to talk about Hollywood requiring diversity quotas and referenced interracial couples in commercials and trans and gay people everywhere. And also complained about the number of Asian characters that were now being represented in films as heroes because Hollywood said they have to because they want to hit the Chinese market in film. So now we have to have all these Asian character characters that are the heroes.
When I spoke up and said perhaps they are doing this because they’re actually representing the people that live in our world currently and that maybe our children and our society needs to see that these people exist rather than acting like they don’t he told me that he respectfully disagreed with me and then I told him that I didn’t need to sit in my dentist office and listen to this being spewed. 
And then he continued to talk about it. It was at that point that I asked if it was a customer or if it was the dentist and was told that it was the dentist and he proudly told me he was the dentist.

I made the decision to leave at that point in time and the conversation continued as I went down the hall because he continued to try to act like what he was saying was OK and that he was just stating facts and yet his tone and everything about what he was saying, made it very clear that he had a problem with the fact that Different ethnicities and races and sexualities were being represented on television. 
Meanwhile, almost his entire staff are BIPOC. My hygienist looked embarrassed  
I won’t be going back and I certainly hope that others seeing this review will think twice or make the decision not to give them their business.
I truly feel sorry for their staff if that’s what they have to spend their day surrounded by
