I have always had GI problems since a bout of salmonella almost killed me years ago. I went to Dr. Paleti because my regular GI doctor moved. At first I was pleased she ran test to try and determine what was causing my most recent issue. When the first couple of test did not show anything she kind of lost steam prescribed an acid blocker and said give it six months and see if it improves. Well for the past several years it has continually gotten worse so I don't know why she thought it would magically improve. At the urging of a friend I called my PCP and got a referral for an allergist and that was it. I have allergies to several common foods. I went to my six month appointment and she seemed like she could care less that it was allergies. A year later it was time for my colonoscopy. After my colonoscopy which was negative I started getting sick, severe nausea, dizziness, unable to eat, barely able to get out of bed. I called her and her staff said she would call me back. She never did. I called everyday and got the same response. I even tried to reach her on my chart for over a week and nothing. I finally decided to make an appointment to which I couldn't get seen for five weeks. In that five weeks I lost over 10 lbs. When I finally did see her she said all my test results showed there wasn't anything wrong and was giving me a referral for psychiatry. I guess because she didn't know the answer it must be in my head. I almost started thinking it was in my head. I called my PCP and made an appointment. It was my medication making me sick. I had tried to tell Dr. Paleti I did not want the medication that I wanted to try natural methods and she did not want to hear any of it and come to find out it was the big Pharma that she was pushing that was making me so sick. I could overlook the fact she didn't pick up on my allergies but then not picking up on the medication making me sick and suggesting it was all in my head is another matter. I will never see this Dr. again. She treated me like she didn't have time for me and I was a burden.
