Very uncaring and unhelpful. Level 10 for pain with lower back after ten days and going to ER - crying and can't step on one leg most of the day. I can't even turn over in bed. Needed to see a primary and she was first I could get (probably for a reason). I can't take NSAIDS because of history of stomach ulcers and inflammation of intestine, yet she said she could not give me any pain medication. She also said I needed to go in, although I'm barely mobile and not driving, I would be happy to go in but couldn't get an in person apt hence why I was set up with her. She didn't offer to have me come in. She also told me the hospital cannot give out pain meds which I know is also false, and that insurance won't pay for a CT scan or MRI until I have five physical therapy appointments when they will determine I need one. I haven't even been diagnosed yet, why would I go to a physical therapist when they could hurt me. It could still be something internal related to a cyst or stone - we have no idea. I need tests and imaging first. She said this was because of insurance, but when I called the hotline and talked to someone from first Intermountain and then my insurance they both told me what she said was false. I have never had an issue with seeing an NP rather than a doctor, but in this case she is too unknowledgeable and uncaring. Avoid and see someone who can actually help you. Literally she just dials it in (web apt).
