Couples Therapy
Couples therapy refers to a specific type of counseling where relationship issues are the focus of the treatment. It used to be referred to as marriage counseling and still may be called that in many places, but because participants are not always married to each other, couples therapy is a more accurate name.
Closely related to family therapy, couples therapy is a type of counseling that seeks to help couples improve their relationship. A therapist may teach each partner in the relationship specific skills, such as managing or expressing their emotions, conflict resolution, communication skills, and problem solving. Both people in the couple need to be committed to learning new skills themselves as well as putting effort into supporting the relationship. The typical goals of couples therapy are to decrease conflict, unhappiness, and resentment, as well as increase communication, intimacy, and connection.
Couples therapy may be offered privately, at a university, or in a group practice. It is usually short-term therapy, lasting a few weeks until the participants have learned new skills and have the ability to repair their relationship. Its effectiveness depends on the willingness of both participants to commit to therapy and make the relationship a priority. For many couples it can be extremely helpful.

Each family has a unique personality, communication style, and unique problems they face together. In family therapy, all members of the family attend counseling sessions as a group, and together they learn how to identify conflicts within and without the family, as well as how to communicate better and problem-solve together.

This Women should not have a license and should be not around any children, adults or anyone in a therapeutic relationship. If everyone filed the proper complaints she would probably not still have a license. If Keela Johnson is your guardian ad litem and Tracey Stulberg is appointed watch out its a set up to destroy one parent and your family in reality. They will financially destroy you through creating conflict through total misrepresentations and manipulation and bill you into submission. Tracey takes phone calls, believes insulting and degrading children and adults is therapy, Tracey Stulberg SWEARS AND YELLS AT CHILDREN, Swears and yells at adults, its a total disgrace. She is personal friends with many of the family law lawyers in the area and no one discloses the conflicts of interest until to late. If you felt like the fix was in with your family law custody case and Tracey Stulberg is involved it probably was fixed. Keela Johnson, Warner Norcross and Judd LLP Law Firm Attorneys and Judge Julie McDonald all work together. Tracey will not hesitate to make up whatever is necessary. If you stand up to them they use your children as a weapon against that parent to keep them quiet. I started recording the sessions. If no children are present only one adult must consent in Michigan do not let these people try to make up fake laws to bully you, which they will and do. If you have the unfortunate need to have a therapist in a Family Law case in Michigan and anyone suggests Tracey Stulberg. FIGHT AS FAST AS YOU CAN and never trust the person that suggests using Tracey Stulberg. Any person who would use her services has their own agenda, cannot be trusted and probably has the same character as the other players above and Tracey Stulberg. The Michigan family law system is set up for corruption, nepotism and much worse. All the Judges are protected by their friends, the Judges are all friends with the lawyers and therapists and guardian ad litem and the Judges protect their own. How many other people felt their outcomes were "predetermined" in their case and had one or more of the above involved. If they take down this review, I will post the emails about it being "predetermined". I say "they" on purpose. Let the public decide if this is how our family system should treat families.
Please do your research before seeing Dr. Tracey Stulberg. Prior reviews here regarding her antics are true. She uses profanity and attempts to trick her patients into believing what her agenda is by strong arming and humiliating them. She claims to be an advocate for human trafficking; however I cant imagine any victim being able to utilize her services. Her appalling methods of therapy and deception are hazardous to a positive therapeutic relationship. Do not let her clips that she has self posted from the local news fool you into believing she is a stand up person. Dr. Tracey as she likes to be called uses these as a marketing tool for clients, but in no way is this representative of who she is. She has no intention on helping family's, only making money for her and her adult children. Find another therapist for your family!
Prior to our appointment for couples counseling, Dr. Stulberg acted in a very condescending and perturbed way, cutting me off and talking over me, referring to me as “kiddo” and rushing me through the ‘New Patient’ forms. We’ve cancelled our appointment(s), and would strongly encourage others to reconsider other therapists as options. I will be writing Aetna to inform them of Dr. Stulberg’s lack of tact and rudeness.
Dr. Tracey Stulberg practices family therapy. These areas are among her clinical interests: coaching, conflict mediation, and group therapy services. On average, patients gave Dr. Stulberg a rating of 1.0 stars (out of 5). She can take Blue California and Aetna insurance.
