I wanted to share my experienced visiting the Reno heart institute for Dr. Thomas Nylk. During my appointment, Dr. Nylk ordered a heart monitor and an Ecko for me, but he did not mention the need for a stress test. It was only when his staff called to schedule the stress test that I learned my treatment plan had been changed after I left the appointment.

When I questioned this change, multiple staff members, including the MA and customer service, repeatedly told me that I must not be remembering correctly. However, I am certain that Dr. Nylk never informed me about needing a stress test. As someone who has severe anxiety about the ability to complete a stress test, I would have appreciated being included in the conversation about it.

This lack of communication and the unprofessional behavior of the staff, who seemed to have no idea what was going on, has caused me unnecessary anxiety. The MA's attempt to gaslight me was particularly distressing, and as a result, I have lost trust in Dr. Nylk's office to provide the correct care. I have since sought care elsewhere to address my medical issues, leading to the referral.

I wanted to share this experience in the hopes that it can help improve communication and professionalism in the future.
