I am writing this in hopes that someone with my situation can avoid what I experienced in the future with this office. I chose this doctor and office based on glowing reviews.
From the very beginning, the front office was rude and abrasive since I am new to the area and got lost, therefor was 10 minutes early instead of 20.
I came to this appointment with numerous questions, concerns, and sensitivities that I feel were dismissed, inappropriately questioned, and rushed in a condescending manner. I have never been to a doctor’s office where I have been DISCOURAGED from receiving care, but I had to advocate for my own wellness on numerous fronts. Or questioned about the validity of my claims. I was told to go back to my PCP, who told me to come here, and that she really only wanted to be copied on bloodwork and see me once a year. I also had to do the leg work with my prescriptions instead of her sending an order over I had to work with my pharmacy to ensure they had the right contact information.
The entire appointment felt like I was an appointment to rush through and complete without actually being seen as a person. I’m glad I said I wanted an exam because my lab results came back with an infection I didn’t know I had. To say that my PTSD was triggered would be an understatement but thankfully the experience is over and I know I get to choose who administers my care and I will not go through this again. Maybe if I was a “normal” person who just wanted to get in and out of the appointment once every 3 years the experience would have been great for me, but not everyone feels that way so should be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Also, I’d like to say that it’s a little off-putting to send a feedback request then require a first and last name for a review.
