Steven Canales, DO, is a physician practicing at Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center. Dr Steven Canales is a dual-trained physician in internal medicine and pediatrics, which allows him to care for patients at every stage of life, from newborns and children through adults and seniors. He completed his combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at LSU Health Shreveport, where he was active in quality improvement and medical education and developed interests in preventive care, chronic disease management, and the thoughtful use of technology to improve patient care.
