I am giving 1 star because you can't give ZERO.

The doctors at West Houston Dermatology are great.  The Business Manager and business practices are terrible.  I used them for several years and always had billing problems.  They routinely require payment up front of more than the insurance co-pay.  Several times I went in with  EOB forms, proof of my payment, etc. and asked for refunds.  They last time I was in they couldn't find $100 payment I had made at time of service.  It just wasn't posted to my account.  I had the charge slip with me to prove I had paid it.  When I asked for a refund of my credit balance, they admitted there was a credit balance of several hundred dollars, but I could never get a refund.  I even sent them a letter with supporting documentation showing all my visits, the amount paid at time of visit, the EOB amount, and noting the overcharge.  I had documentation for all the amounts and included copies in the letter.  I never heard back from them.

I am taking my business elsewhere due to the terrible business practices.
