Stephanie Marie Ravalese, DPT, PT

On 11/1/2018, a Complaint was filed with the Division of Professional Licensure, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Complaint No. 2018-001145-IT-ENF
Patient,  71 years old, was a paid client of Stephanese Ravelese, an employee of ProSports in Waltham, MA.  The injury was a break of the femoral head of the right leg and a broken  right  arm. Patient started with Ms. Ravelese exactly one month after surgery recuperating from this traumatic accident.  This is an account of which I, the patient, was a client and  of my experience with someone I trusted to help me get better.
1. Ms Ravelese made it clear every meeting I was not meeting her expectations.There was no support from this PT. She applied textbook techniques meant for a younger person. She would twist my leg until tears would come from me, applying more and more pressure without even monitoring what I was going through.She simply did not care.  If I complained, she said I was faking pain. She was disinterested, non supportive with distain. There is no empathy in this physical therapist. 
2. In order to meet the copays, I had to sell things out of my apartment. Ms. Ravelese sent an email to my surgeon on her last day of employment at ProSports, implying I was faking to get insurance money. Being a senior citizen living on Social Security, somehow I had to come up with the 80 a week co-pays. Of course money was an issue which I explained to her tearfully. 
Since I had her so soon after surgery, that pain was real but her intent in sending that email was malicious and unprofessional. My surgeon's entire staff, lawyers, insurance adjusters were confused on why Ms. Ravelese would do something to not only defame me but be so unprofessional. My orthopedica surgeon knew no one could fake pain so soon after surgery, especially for a 71 year old woman.
3. An example of her lack of professionalism can be shown here. She would assign me 30 leg lifts and then stand by her laptop, watching me with the other physical therapists standing around.
If my leg,after 28 lifts went down an inch, she would come over and in front of the entire room with staff and other  patients, loudly proclaim I was a "cheat". She told me to get off the table and not use my cane. I could do that for the first step but then would weaken.  I would say, see, I need my cane (even with a broken arm) At that point she would smirk and ridicule me in front of the other physical therapists.
I was being watched every moment  and made fun of.  The damage done to me by this person who is supposed to help me, has delayed my recovery not only physically but mentally as well. I never understook why Ravelese hated me so much. Was it my age, appearance?
Ms. Ravelese has a history of only working briefly at all her 8 employments  which range from Texas, Massachusetts, Maine, California and Oklahoma . She does not last at any one place and is an indication she is not finding physicial therapy fulfilliong in a career . This person should not be someone employed to help people.I don't even think she likes people. She is condescending, unable to show empathy and for some reason enjoys inflicting pain physically and emotionally. 
4. Failure to keep patient records: There was no information for my surgeon for an evaluation of objective findings,a diagnosis, plan of care, treatment record nor a discharge plan. She gleefully told me she had sent an email to my surgeon and for me to read it, knowing how it would upset me but then quit her job that day and fled like a thief in the night.  This was my experience with the person who took a vow to help people,not to inflict her own demons upon them.  To further my rehabilitation I went to another physical therapist with much progress. All this is documented with the Division of Professional Licensure, Massachusetts.
