It's been about 15 years since I've gone to the doctor; when I scheduled the appointment I told scheduler that I wanted an annual physical. I was charged for a comprehensive exam, when in fact, I only received a pap smear and pelvic exam. I spoke with the nurse in the exam room she me told the doctor would come in to speak with me then I would disrobe entirely put on gown and paper "blanket". Dr. Davis came in shortly after she left (shortest wait time in exam room I can recall and said as much to Dr Davis). He was leaving early that day (1:00 PM); I know this because while in waiting room Dr. Davis rooted through the reception desk looking for a snack and told her as much when she asked if she could help him then offered him string cheese. When I asked Dr. Davis about my HBP he told me his only concern is from the waist down. He said I need only disrobe from the waist and stepped out of the room. He returned performed pap smear and pelvic exam. If he doesn't provide actual physical isn't the staff aware? And why was I charged for a comprehensive exam instead of just pap smear and pelvic exam?
