It's been a year since I went in for a check-up with Dr. Lam, and am due for my third exam with him next week.  My first two exams (2022 & 2023) were pleasant and informative. He has very good bedside manner, willing to answer any questions and give full explanations. His evaluation (my first meeting with him) of my cataract surgeries done by another surgeon he is not affiliated with, was assuring to say the least. He explained to me why he thought the surgeon did a good job, even without my asking.
The reason I gave only three stars for the office and staff is because they never did send Dr. Lam's report to my Primary Care Physician, even with repeated phone reminders from me. I had to go back to the office for a print-out, and then deliver it to my PCP's office. However, they were apologetic and polite each time I've been in the Ophthalmology office.
I go in for my third appointment with Dr. Lam next week, and will return here to give an update, if anything has changed.

He attended Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine and then went on to complete his residency at a hospital affiliated with the University of Illinois at Chicago, a hospital affiliated with the University of Iowa, and a hospital affiliated with the University of South Florida (USF).
