Biography

Dr Birchenough is a board-certified plastic surgeon (American Board of Plastic Surgery) specializing in breast surgery and cosmetic surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. His six-year plastic surgery residency, covering the complete spectrum of plastic surgery training, was obtained from the University of Virginia Health System. He spent an additional fellowship year in Nashville, TN, working with renowned plastic surgeons including Dr G Patrick Maxwell. Here, he improved and refined his techniques in cosmetic surgery with an emphasis on breast surgery, cosmetic surgery of the face and body and innovative breast reconstruction methods.
