Shannon Godsil, MD, knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in pediatric medicine. “What really set things in stone for me was medical school,” she said. “Going on those pediatric rotations and realizing that I didn't only learn from the patients themselves, but I was learning so much from the other pediatricians. And it's who I wanted to be. It's who I wanted to work with. And now, as a parent, I've realized that having a team taking care of you is huge.” As a pediatrician at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Gretna, Dr Godsil enjoys caring for a variety of patients, but she’s always been drawn to newborn care and supporting new parents.
