Dr. Seyed Ghasemian is an urology (urinary tract disease) and transplant surgery specialist. Before completing his residency at Washington Hospital Center, Dr. Ghasemian attended medical school at The National University of Iran. He is especially interested in kidney transplant. Awards and/or distinctions Dr. Ghasemian has received include Meritorious achievement award, Transplantation Services, Washington Hospital Center; Transplant Fellow Competition - 1993, National Kidney Foundation, Washington, D.C.; and Residents Competition - 1997, Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.. In addition to English, he speaks Persian. Dr. Ghasemian's professional affiliations include Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Hospital West, and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
