Never got past the office staff intake. I'm just stunned. I spoke with two different office staffers and both were judgmental, which isn't a good look for a psychiatrist's office. My previous doc had retired and I was looking for a new med manager. I listed off the meds I'd been prescribed in the past, clarifying the ones that I take regularly. I mentioned a past one-time prescription of a well-known, widely used anti-anxiety med and the office staffer reacted in a very dramatic way, saying Dr. Bay will not work with someone who takes meds like that, in a tone that suggested my previous doctor had me shooting up street heroin. She would not let it go. I reiterated that it's fine if Dr. Bay does not prescribe this drug, as I no longer take it. I got a voice mail from another office staffer several days later, saying that Dr. Bay isn't interested in me as a patient, and going on and on and on about the aforementioned common anti-anxiety medication that Dr. Bay absolutely does not condone. On and on, making the point over and over. She ended that message with a harsh "you just need to go find another doctor." I typically wouldn't bother leaving a review, but this was so bad that I hope to spare some potential patients from having to go through this.
