I had a student nurse/midwife with me at the beginning and then the student would join. I thought it would be the reverse, that the main midwife would be with me and then the student would join. It's ok that it happened that way, but I think I misunderstood the nurse who asked me before if I was willing to have a student join. For this reason, the time with the main midwife seemed shortened. And when they put the jelly on to hear the fetus' heart-rate it was cold instead of being warmed up. I think it would be nice pre-meet up with the midwives for them to let me know what will be covered, generally speaking in the check-up. I wasn't sure if there would be an ultrasound or other things for me to do. I could always ask online through the portal, but it would be nice to be given a bit of a structure of the meeting in advance. It also wasn't clear to me at the beginning when I signed up for midwifery at the swedish that some of the more medical procedures aren't covered through the insurance, or are out of pocket, eating up through the deductible. Some of that information should be on the website delineating the difference between getting care through the midwives and through the obgyns. Everyone treated me with much care and respect.

Sarah Vivien Martin is an amazing doctor - it was very hard to get an appointment with her and I needed a routine checkup that has had some abnormal test the past two years - it should never be that hard to get in to her - I call months and months in advance to schedule an appointment, but they're never able to schedule it far out and tell you to keep calling back every two weeks which is hard - I'd plan to leave, but I truly love Dr. Vivien. She is so good with her patients and listens to them - and I love her style of medication if needed - But also open to try natural ways first which I prefer! - So clearly, I will keep coming back and go through the hassle of scheduling appointments through Swedish in order to see her- My daughter also recently started seeing her, and she is amazing with teens! Swedish is very lucky to have Dr. Vivien

Swedish midwives and obgyns have shown me what an amazing care provider looks like. I'm always cared for and never nervous to see them. The primary care In snoqualmie is a different story. The only good doctor is a pediatrician and everyone else I've seen there is not helpful and doesn't listens. I wish I could see the midwives and obgyns for everything theyre that amazing.

Sarah Vivian Martin is the only reason I continue to go back to Swedish Issaquah. If she leaves, I will go to the practice she goes to. The parking at swedish Issaquah is horrendous.

Sarah Martin, CNM is a great assets to Swedish. She took the time to listen to my concerns and talk through options. She was thorough and genuinely invested in my wellbeing.

I absolutely adore Vivian! She is so kind, understanding, caring and patient. I am so glad she stayed where I could continue to see her for my annual appointments.

Provider was great! This was my first time seeing her and I will definitely be back! She is very personable and easy to talk to.
