After two years with Texas Children’s Pediatrics for our oldest daughter, we knew we wanted something more personalized—both in medical care and administrative support—before our second child was born. That’s when we made the switch to Dr. Ryan Kagan, DO, and we’ve been incredibly pleased ever since. Dr. Kagan offers the kind of care every parent hopes for: thoughtful, evidence-based, and genuinely compassionate. He listens attentively, welcomes questions, and takes time to explain options clearly. His approach is holistic—focused on understanding the whole child, not just treating isolated symptoms—and he connects beautifully with children of all ages. Both of our daughters have benefited tremendously from his care. Our younger daughter has faced developmental delays and digestive challenges, and was later diagnosed with conversion disorder by a specialist. Dr. Kagan has been a steady, supportive partner throughout that journey, helping us navigate complex care with empathy and clarity. Our older daughter, now 14, has been seen at this practice since she was 2.5 years old. Dr. Kagan has guided her through typical developmental milestones and common illnesses, and also recognized when additional support was needed. His referral to a CBT clinic six years ago led to a diagnosis of OCD, and thanks to early intervention and ongoing care, she is now stable and thriving. The administrative side of the practice is just as impressive—responsive, organized, and truly family-centered. We feel incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Kagan as part of our care team and highly recommend him to any family seeking thoughtful, comprehensive pediatric care.
We've been coming to the Kagan office since our daughter was born, and both doctors have provided us excellent care. Ryan pays attention to what our concerns are, does a good job of calming down anxious parents, and is great with our daughter.
Routine check-up ... seemed very disconnected and didn't address any of my questions or seem to care. Now i have to go back to another doctor and pay for service. ridiculous.
