I was born and raised in Orlando, FL. I am a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon, a natural choice, given my up-bringing. My father is a pediatrician and my grandfather a house builder. I spent my summers building houses with my grandfather, learning to love building things and working with tools. After getting to medical school, I fell in love with orthopaedic surgery and knew that my background had prepared me well for my career. I enjoy all aspects of pediatric orthopaedics, especially scoliosis, hip dysplasia, and sports injuries. The challenge of treating a growing child with a deformity is exciting because I have to be creative in my treatment to achieve the ultimate goal of a straight, well-balanced child at the end of growth.
