I am a 78 year old male & Dr Sowell has been my PCP since 2000.  I have 2 regular office visits per year.  He always focuses on my current state of health & addresses any new conditions as well as following up with any previous or ongoing issues.  He manages my ongoing issues (high BP, cholesterol, vascular issues, compromised respiration, etc.).  If referrals to specialists are necessary, he takes care of them quickly & efficiently.  He responds promptly when I have issues which occur between my scheduled visits, returning calls or replying through the patient portal - usually on the same day.  He listens carefully & answers questions directly. A word of caution: if you are looking for a doc who will write you prescriptions for the latest advertised wonder drug, he isn't your guy.  He won't be manipulated.  However, if you are looking for a PCP who treats his patients as his priority, I highly recommend him.  I don't know what his patient load is , but if you can get in to see him, you will be glad you did.
