I went in to get my birth control  refill. He told me my refill has to be done by my gynecologist, when he was the Dr who originally filled my prescription. Then he told me I tested positive for something and when I asked what that something was he told me syphilis. And that shocked me because I was not being sexualy active at the time and I had no symptoms whatsoever. Then he told me they had to retest it and the result was negative. A few days later I went to my pharmacy to pick up my prescription and they told me my doctor had to call my insurance to authorize my prescription. Thus the reason I made an appointment with him in the first place and he didn't even bother to have it appropriately authorized. Also, trying to make an appointment is nearly impossible because they never pick up the phone and goes to voicemail, which I've left several voicemails and they never return my call.  Overall, my experience with Dr Afzal was unprofessional and mediocre at best. I do not recommend this doctor.
