I listen and observe patients’ needs before dispensing care or advice. Why did you decide to become a physician? I never intended to be a physician. My “nerdiness” initially led me to study chemistry and biology, with the hope of becoming a biochemical engineer. Along the path, I found myself desiring to be in the foreground, rendering medical care. What interesting facts would you like to share about yourself and your family? I was raised in the South Bronx, residing in public housing.
