Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I chose a career in medicine because I felt it would be a great way to work with and help people, because I always enjoyed science classes growing up. I also felt it would provide good job security without having to move. You can really become part of a community as a physician. What I want my patients to know about me: I'm very glad I chose a career in pediatrics because children keep me young (at heart at least). Even though I work with a great group of doctors and have a wonderful staff, my favorite part of coming to work each day is always seeing the patients and their families.
