Over the past 16 years I've had a lot of doctors, most I don't remember, or wish I didn't remember. Dr. Heyman will always have a special place in my heart. From day 1 he took the time to explain why my muscles were acting the way they were and how to fix it. He was there to share my highs and lows and ensured me that my feelings were valid. He has never made me feel like a lesser person because he is a doctor & I'm a disabled mom, which I get a lot of by other medical professionals. Dr Heyman is 1 of the few doctors I've had that treats me like a human and I can't express in words how good that feels. He will be truly and deeply missed in my life, but knowing that my daughter wants to be like him gives me a little comfort. Enjoy your retirement, you deserve all the good things that life has to offer!

As a PA, numerical metrics aren't as helpful as patient feedback. Dr Heyman is highly professional and skilled. As an osteopath, his physical exam was excellent in that it differed from orthopedic exams I have had in the past; it was an osteopathic exam, he really took the time to assess my soft tissue issues. He took time to answer questions and explain things in detail. He proceeded with injection therapy in a very thoughtful and comforting manner. He took the time I needed. He also performed some osteopathy on my back which works well for me. He gave me education on stretches and activities to follow up with. He gave reassurance as well. He is a great provider whom I have referred patients to in the past. His kind and gentle approach is what I seek in my own providers. Great doc!

Dr .Heyman is one of my 3 specialists I see at SPH. Have arthritis in my body but my most pain is in my back. So I see him every 3 months to get back injections to help with pain and I am able to keep walking, I do use a cane to get around otherwise I fall a lot. When I spoke with Dr.Heyman during the procedure, he let me know he will be retiring at the end of the year. Told him I'm very happy for him, but also sad only because he is one of the nicest doctors I see. So hopefully in January the new provider will be as helpful and nice as Dr. Heyman.

I see Dr Heyman specifically for back pain, he is not my primary provider. He is kind, thoughtful, he listens and he explains things clearly. His osteopathic treatment is spot on, his hands are highly skilled. He always discusses the options available at each visit and at my last visit, he felt and I agreed that an injection was not necessary that day and so he spent time doing osteopathic manipulation which was the right treatment for on that day. I will miss his care when he retires.

Dr. Heyman is an amazing doctor! I would recommend him 1000% of anyone else I've ever seen. I love My doctors & pain management team. They listen to what I have to say. They answer all my questions & they take their time with me. They make sure I'm doing OK. All of these steps are huge and make me feel like they're honestly caring and listening to what we're doing. Dr Heyman is one of the most respectful, caring, physicians I have seen in my very complex case. He is always honest, caring, values my opinions and I strongly value his. He has cared for me for many years and has given me relief from sometimes difficult pain. He is always current on the latest happenings I. My care. Is complex and frustrating at times but Dr Heyman has always been helpful. I am grateful for the care he brings.

Dr Heyman is one of the best doctors I have ever met, and I have had many many doctors. He is patient, caring, compassionate, he always listens to your concerns and treats the issue according to his expertise. He has used both injections and osteopathy on my body with positive results. He will be greatly missed as he is now retired. I wish him nothing but the best as he goes forward with his life!

Dr. Heyman has given us some life don't cut anymore, and can move around, humor has come back. We can shower and dress without so much pain we want to kill ourself.
