My first visit in over year to see retinal eye specialist . The appointment went as scheduled the techs did the exams and explained each eye test as they did them . They explained the pictures they took and why they were needed . The Dr did explain and make me aware that surgery will be needed soon, he also listened to my concern and anxiety about going forward with surgery at this time . I think he understood why this is a difficult decision & he didn't try to dispute the fact I think the pain in my blind eye may be related to cervical problems . He respected my decision to discuss cataract surgery with my regular Opthalmoligist

I have been seeing Dr. Kumar for approximately 8 years for dry macular degeneration and another retinal problem. Of all the care I receive at Henry Ford, I consider my annual visit with Dr. Kumar amongst the most Important. Dr. Kumar Is not the most genial of physicians, but as long as he gets the evaluation and management of my eye disease right and I am able to preserve my vision, he does not need to be genial.
